During this three day course we again focused on viscera (abdominal organs). We reviewed the work we had done on valves, small intestine and liver, and learned about the spleen and the kidneys. Treatment of the abdominal organs can have huge effects throughout the body, especially after trauma such as a motor vehicle accident or for people who are highly engaged in sports.

During this three day module we focused on the assessment and treatment of the abdominal organs (viscera). Due to the strong visceral connections to the rest of the body, it is possible that up to 95% of musculo-skeletal problems have a visceral component. This is especially true for traumatic injuries such as motor vehicle accidents or other falls and injuries. Treatment is gentle and is done in various positions (sitting, sidelying and lying on the back).

During this three day module we focused on the arms and legs. I learned how to treat bones, joints, fascial tissue and muscles of the limbs. I also gained a better understanding of the relationship of the limbs to the pelvis and the craniosacral system as a whole. Of particular interest to me were the knees, feet and shoulder complex.

I recently completed the third module in a two year course focusing on Craniosacral and Fascial Therapies. In this module we concentrated on pelvic stability and alignment through assessment and correction of pelvic bones, muscles, ligaments and organs (bladder and uterus). We also examined the connection between the pelvic bones and the bones of the skull. This type of treatment is very important for anyone with lower back pain, sacroiliac joint dysfunction and pelvic/hip imbalances (or pain).

I have just completed the second module in a two year Craniosacral and Fascial Therapy course. We focused on the head, neck and jaw – mobilizing bones, joints, fascia and cranoisacral fluid. This is fantastic work for anyone with neck or back pain, headaches, jaw problems and pelvic imbalances.
