During this three day course we again focused on viscera (abdominal organs). We reviewed the work we had done on valves, small intestine and liver, and learned about the spleen and the kidneys. Treatment of the abdominal organs can have huge effects throughout the body, especially after trauma such as a motor vehicle accident or for people who are highly engaged in sports.
I play and take part in a range of different activities and sports and inevitably pick up various injuries and niggling pains. I also sit at a computer all day for work and get the usual back and neck aches associated with that. So, more often than not I’ve got a combination of issues happening at the same time and I’m always impressed with how Alison carefully diagnoses what is going on and is able to work on the various problem areas in a holistic way. I appreciate Alison’s very considered approach and also that she understands that the priority isn’t just to deal with some short term discomfort but to get back active again and stay active. Therefore the way she takes time to explain what is happening in my body, why she’s doing what she’s doing, and what I can do to prevent injury and maintain health in the future is really important to me.— John Telford, Vancouver, BC
