During this three day course we again focused on viscera (abdominal organs). We reviewed the work we had done on valves, small intestine and liver, and learned about the spleen and the kidneys. Treatment of the abdominal organs can have huge effects throughout the body, especially after trauma such as a motor vehicle accident or for people who are highly engaged in sports.

Kind Words
I started experiencing pain a little over year ago after straining my lower back during a poorly executed lift of my cats’ cage into my van (lame, I know). Walking was difficult and I had to take a week off of work. I had never actually gone to a massage therapist for therapy before but I made my way to the closest RMT’s clinic in my neighborhood and was treated by Alison. After a few treatments the pain was gone, I was back at work, and happy to be on the mend.

When, 6 months later, I started experiencing re-occurring discomfort, I found that Alison had started her own practice on South Granville and decided that her treatments were worth a 15 minute drive across the bridge. I am so glad that I made that choice! In the last few months she has cleared up the back pain, given me stretches I can do at home for prevention and provided the encouragement I needed to sign up with a personal trainer for an ongoing strengthening program that will ensure I maintain long term back health. I would highly recommend Alison as a RMT; she listens carefully, she gets results, and her clinic is an inviting space with convenient parking. Thanks Alison! -
